Rec Gym programming is designed for you to get the absolute most out of your body. We aim to maximise the 60 min class with a thorough warm up to prime your body, increase range of motion and increase your mood to tackle the training session. After the warm up we move to our main focus of the day, whether that be improving Strength with a compound lift or working on our Core Strength, revving our engines with a Conditioning focused Endurance or Interval workout, or making progress by working on some Skills that we believe will be beneficial for our members to master.
Following our main focus we then move to our Workout or Accessories, the day of the week generally determines what plan to work on that day. Earlier in the week you'll find some higher intensity style workout that pushes intensity, later on in the week we generally slow things down and focus more on developing muscles that help improve our posture and body composition.
Before and after classes are when we have time to complete other aspects of our training that need fine tuning. We have extensive Open Gym hours that allows and empowers our members to work on the extras that really help us make progress.
4-6 Week Cycle: Each week builds on the last for consistent progress.
Strength session with Squat and Upper Body Press, followed by a sprint workout and accessory exercises.
Conditioning session using machines and bodyweight, finishing with core-focused accessories.
Gymnastics skills to enhance strength, endurance, and body control.
Strength session focused on Powerlifting or Weightlifting, emphasizing technique and progressive overload.
Upper body strength session, lower intensity conditioning, and accessory work.
Team-based training to develop skills and support long-term progress.
CrossFit session with a strength component and a high-intensity Met-Con.
